Nike’s Jordan Jumps Into Fortnite Battle Royale

Because you can never have enough brands in your life.

Nikes Michael Jordan brand will be featuring in a new Fortnite game mode. A new Downtown Drop Limited-Time Mode is bringing Michael Jordan’s Jumpman brand to Fortnite. While it is about hang time, it’s not the basketball variety that Mr. Jordan is famous for. The theme here is skateboarding, and players get to roam around a “Brooklyn-inspired” downtown area, completing challenges to unlock extra goodies and beautification items for their hero. Some of it is free, but, as usual for Fortnite, those with greater disposable incomes will get more out of the new experience.fortnite jordan

A look back at THE 10 – OFF White Nike

Virgil Abloh and Nike’s “The Ten” collaboration was the biggest sneaker event of 2017, with Highsnobiety readers voting Abloh the most influential person of the year and electing his Nike Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” design the best sneaker of 2017 in the annual Highsnobiety Crowns election.

The OFF-WHITE “The Ten” project included sneakers from Nike as well as Nike-owned brands Converse and Jordan. From late October to early November in 2017, the first releases were split into two packs of five. The “REVEALING” pack contained the OFF-WHITE Nike Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90, Air Presto, Air VaporMax, and Blazer Mid. The “GHOSTING” pack included an OFF-WHITE Nike Air Max 97, React Hyperdunk, Air Force 1, Zoom Vaporfly, and Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.

“It’s larger than design culture,” said Abloh at the time. “These 10 shoes have broken barriers in performance and style. To me, they are on the same level as the sculpture of David or the Mona Lisa. You can debate it all you want, but they mean something.”nike-off-white-guide-main2

SS19 SUPREME NIKE – Retro sportswear galore

Two titans of the streetwear game are collaborating for a spring/summer capsule. The capsule is reminiscent of the 90’s streetwear era, all pieces are loud and heavily branded. The collection includes items such as a water resistant nylon hooded sport jacket and warm up pant, hooded sweatshirt, sweatpant, jacquard logo sweater and nylon shoulder Bag. Retro sportswear themes run rampant throughout the selection and branding from both labels is inconspicuously strewn across most of the pieces, which should come as a welcome transition into the warmer months.

Nike join Japanese luxury brand Sacai for a collection of clothing and footwear

Nike and Sacai will be collaborating on a clothing and footwear capsule. The shoes were first spotted on the catwalk not long ago. The waffle racer and also the blazer will be released in two different colour ways of each style this week, with the other three LDWaffle colorways potentially getting a Fall/Winter 2019 release, although that is yet to be confirmed by Nike. Sacai its Nike sneaker collab on the Spring/Summer 2019 runway in Paris, with designer Chitose Abe balancing ideas of stability and betrayal to create something unexpected. This is where the doubled-up elements come into play, including double Swooshes, laces, and tongues. The LDWaffle also features an elongated midsole.
